If you go into Mr Whipps & Mr Barkers office, you may notice a new piece of artwork on the wall. It looks like it could be a Jackson Pollock original painting. In fact it looks like it could be Jackson Pollock’s Number 8.
However, it is a piece of artwork the Kindergarten children have been making through this last half of the summer term. There has been a lot of practicing, using tooth brushes, straws, flicking paint with hands, and seeing what happens when we freeze paint and let it melt onto paper.
The result of all this investigation into the science and world of art has led the Kindergarten to produce this amazing piece of modern art based on Number 8 by Pollock. They even signed the painting in the way of the original artist by using their hands as a unique signature.
Well done Kindergarten, and thank you from Mr Barker & Mr Whipps for this lovely painting which is now hanging in the office.
Just for comparison and to show how good the KG painting is, here is the original Number 8 from Jackson Pollock.
