Music to our Ears!

Congratulations to the following very musical pupils, Cameron, Lydia & Bilal.  They each recently took London College music exams, Cameron took Step 2 for keyboard which is the level before grade 1 and passed with distinction gaining 88%.

Lydia took her grade 1 Piano exam and also passed with distinction with 88%.

Bilal took his grade 5 piano exam, which is equivalent to a GCSE A* level and passed with distinction with 89%.

Prior to the Easter break, Georgia passed her grade 1 keyboard exam, & Bilal passed his grade 3 singing exam!  We are extremely proud of these achievements, well done children and keep up the good work.

Our Headteacher Mrs Sills commented that “This was a great achievement for these pupils, we have watched them grow over the past few years into very academically and musically capable children.  It is something I know that all of our school will be very proud of, especially our music teachers Mrs Christine Wheeler and Mr Read.  At Vernon Lodge School, we take investment into the arts very seriously and are always pleased when we can announce our pupils are doing so well with outside examinations.  At a time when music funding is being cut across many schools, we can be assured we are supporting our children with an all round education”.

If you would like to find out what makes Vernon Lodge so special, meet our teachers and find out if Vernon Lodge Preparatory School could be the right place for your child to achieve their very best, we would invite you to make an appointment to see the school during our Open Week, June 18th to June 22nd.  Call the office 01902 850568 to make your appointment.
