The last full day of term was very busy at Vernon Lodge School. The children were visited by the Chairman of the Parish Council, Mr Ted Noblett and a member of Stretton Parish Council, Sam Gould.
They presented prizes and certificates to the winners of Stretton’s Best Kept Village poster competition whilst the children entertained them with one of their Easter songs appropriately called ‘Celebrate’.
More celebrations followed at Achievement assembly followed by an Easter Egg hunt in the school gardens. Finally a exhibition of children’s work created in Art Club has gone on display at The Mess in Brewood – it really is a day to celebrate!
Tomorrow we are looking forward to the end of term service and Easter Bonnet Parade at Stretton Church – hopefully the sun will still shine.
