A Message from the Proprietors
It took almost 15 years to find the right school for us, one where not only was there high academic achievement but so much more; one where the school felt like family; one where everybody knew everyone else; one where EVERYBODY was invested in the children’s future – after all the best education is where home and school work closely together.
Walking into Vernon Lodge for the first time there is something that is almost unexplainable; something magical as many parents have said. That magic left an enormous impression on both of us and we knew that our search was over. It wasn’t one without battle, economic climate at the time, distance … but when you know the battle is right, then nothing and no-one can stop it from being achieved!
On August 1st 2011, our dream was achieved as we became the proud owners of Vernon Lodge School. We both have passion and commitment to the future of Vernon Lodge, and know that we will use this passion to move the school forward and drive it into the future whilst ensuring that every step of the way the magic is maintained. We are both delighted to be on board.
A message from the Headteacher
Welcome to Vernon Lodge, a small family school with an excellent academic record and outstanding pastoral care.
As a non-selective school, we look for the potential in all children and delight in helping them on their future path.
Each child is welcomed, engaged and enthused. Whether they are naturally high achievers, have a particular gift or talent ,or are in need of some extra assistance, children are given individual attention, in our quite unique environment. We take great delight in the achievements of all.
Focus is placed on building confidence, as our belief is that a happy, confident child can achieve anything.
Pupils enjoy a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our objective being to help them to thrive through opportunity and encouragement to reach their full potential.
Our challenging and happy environment serves them well for their progression onto the next stage in their education and many pupils frequently gain places in the independent sector, often with scholarships, and in the excellent local grammar schools.
